We’re over the moon to announce our collaboration with Commonwealth Games England (CGE) as their website design and build partner in the run up to Gold Coast 2018.

Having pitched against a number of agencies in the process, the team were successful in their efforts to win over the hearts and minds of the CGE team. The new website will showcase the organisation’s new visual brand identity whilst offering fans a first-in-class interactive experience during the Games.

CGE has represented and managed Team England since the Commonwealth Games began in 1930. Gold Coast 2018 will see 70 teams taking part in the Games with an expected global audience of around 1.5 billion.

The sophisticated new website will host an impressive and intuitive data visualisation tool at its heart, with an up-to-the-minute data feed presenting the latest fixtures and results. The site will feature exclusive profiles for the Team England athletes and visitors will be encouraged to track and celebrate the success of the team during the Games.

CGE’s Head of Media and Communications, Peter Hannon, commented “We wanted to create an online experience with content that resonates with fans and inspires new ones. The Games on the Gold Coast next year are a huge opportunity for us and we want to make our new website a key destination for information on Team England. With the potential for a home Games on the horizon in Birmingham in 2022, these are exciting times and we are looking forward to marking this new era for the organisation with our new site. Everyone was really impressed by Salad’s pitch and we could tell they were a great team and a great fit for the job.”
