Hayes McKenzie are an established team of nationwide acoustic consultants who help businesses and individuals with their noise measurement needs.
They reached out to us because they required a website that would not only give them credibility in their industry, but would also give them the best chance of gaining more website traffic from search engines.
Hayes McKenzie previously had a very low level organic search presence and could only be found after scrolling through several pages of Google search results.
As part of our website development process, the team undertook keyword research and competitive analysis to understand the key phrases being typed into search engines. Using this information, we were able to identify the most crucial phrases to target and form an overall SEO strategy by balancing high search volumes with low competition scores.
During the build process we reviewed the overall website structure and on-page copy to ensure both would adhere to search engine best practice guidelines. We also set up URL redirects to maintain current rankings and domain authority, minimising the risk of any traffic being lost as a result of the new website migration.
We saw a spike in search engine traffic almost immediately after website launch. The website now has a significantly higher search engine presence with Hayes McKenzie being listed in the top 20 positions in Google.
Hayes McKenzie have seen a steep increase in their rankings particularly in high volume, highly competitive phrases which has helped boost traffic to the site.

“Since they were commissioned back in January ’16, Salad have navigated us through the south-sea storms and doldrums of branding, website development, and Google. Hands were held where required, but most importantly, we were taught how to implement the fantastic portfolio of materials we were provided with so our metaphysical brand could fly the nest.
From the start, Salad understood what we wished to achieve and this has been reflected in the fantastic SEO performance of our new website. Through continued updating of the website text and Meta descriptions, and a well-executed PPC campaign, over the first three months of its launch our website went from being unlisted for the majority of keywords, to being positioned in the top 20.
Appointing a creative/marketing agency was one of the biggest decisions our company has ever had to make, and a lot was resting on the outcome. In entering 2017 with our fresh image, we are very relieved that we chose Salad.”
