Rebranding and reinvigorating a premier legal firm
We initially carried out a marketing audit scoping exercise and this identified that, as well as a new physical brand identity, they needed a new, responsive website as well as a suite of marketing collateral in order to underpin and develop the new brand identity and move their business forward.
As Ellis Jones has an established reputation in the area, the firm was keen to keep some of the core values in the new identity. The result was a much cleaner and contemporary logotype, with a new distinctive typeface and expanded colour palette. The introduction of these new colours means that identity is now much more adaptable, but keeps the recogniseable Ellis Jones blue at it’s heart. The Ellis Jones blue and accompanying new palette has now been applied to all communications.
With a simpler interface and cleaner look and feel, the new website is much easier to navigate. The same user experience continues throughout all screen sizes, making the website more accessible. With the firm’s visual identity already being well-known, we wanted to keep this at the forefront of the brand’s unique character, using photography of picturesque landscapes (shot by Rebecca Rapkins) from around Dorset to stand out from the competition.
The new brand identity has been uniformly well received both internally and externally. The new marketing collateral has hit the mark instantly with the new website already getting great feedback.
