After being selected to host the exhibition of a recently excavated Dutch merchant ship (estimated to have sank in 1630), the museum asked us to create a suite of materials to accompany the various displays and artefacts.
We created an event identity that captures the drama and excitement of the ship’s last moments using atmospheric paintings and flamboyant typography. An engaging user experience was central to this project, and we accomplished this by incorporating a selection of documentary photography and interactive elements.
“In order for the whole exhibition to provide a rewarding visitor experience, it was important that the graphic interpretation had real visual impact and created sufficient drama. Salad delivered just that; a powerful suite of exhibition materials that gave us the structure to tell our stories on a range of themes and levels.”
