Charles Nobel are a leading jeweller in the New Forest, specialising in beautifully crafted engagement and wedding rings. They appointed us two years ago to look after their SEO strategy, which has since gone from strength to strength delivering an 11% increase in organic search traffic to the website year on year. In the Summer of 2016 we created a new website for Charles Nobel which always presents us with great opportunities to create and refresh on-site content in-line with new and current search trends.
With a strong understanding of their requirements we optimised key onsite elements, both from a technical and UX perspective to adhere to Google’s best practice guidelines. We focused on making sure Charles Nobel are present in key online directories that contribute to building a quality backlink portfolio. This was done by identifying online wedding magazines Charles Nobel should be featured in. Once the initial set-up was complete, our ongoing activity included SEO maintenance to address any link issues, site speed and duplicate content, content marketing and monitoring of competitor activity to identify new editorial and directory opportunities.
Charles Nobel has seen a strong growth in organic search in the last 3 months, with a traffic increase of 36%. This has improved further with the new website launch with 13 of their key phrases reaching a higher position in Google. The new website has also proved extremely successful in driving quality customers to the website with a 335% increase in eCommerce revenue. Most notably we have seen some great position improvements over the last year with the Charles Nobel site moving up 40 places to appear in position 11 for ‘Jewellers’ locally within Google search. Charles Nobel also appears on the first page in Google search results in position 6 for “Jewellers Southampton” up 11 places from this time last year.
