House of Garrard’s Muse Collection, launched in line with Royal Ascot, takes its inspiration from Queen Alexandra, one of Garrard’s most dazzling royal patrons. As an official sponsor of Royal Ascot, Garrard approached us with the objective to promote their newest collection during the Races. To bring the romantic and vivacious collection to life, we crafted an elegant film featuring a beautiful woman preparing for a day at Royal Ascot, dressing herself with Garrard’s stunning Muse pieces.
To maximise the Muse campaign and provide Garrard’s marketing team with a suite of content, we chose to create a full 40 second film alongside smaller, bitesize clips. With a detailed storyboard agreed, we sourced the model and visited a number of beautiful locations before settling on the grand setting of the Lanesborough Hotel in London.
With the Royal Suite as our backdrop, we worked with our expert film crew to capture our model wearing the beautiful pieces from the Muse collection. Featuring Royal Ascot’s Gold Cup, a trophy that has been designed by Garrard each year since 1842, the film focuses on the anticipation of this renowned annual event. The day-long shoot took place in a number of locations within the Royal Suite, and our art directors coordinated various outfit, jewellery, hair and make-up changes on set.
The resulting film and supporting clips showcase the striking collection, with close-ups revealing the delicate filigree jewellery and signature serpent pieces. House of Garrard unveiled the film at a press launch leading up to and subsequently at Royal Ascot during the summer.
“Working with Salad was an absolute pleasure! Despite a number of restrictions on the project such as time scale and locations, the team were flexible and conscientious to ensure the assets we created were on brief and met our requirements.”
