A motion ident for Bath Spa University Dance

Bath Spa University Dance offer students the opportunity to study in both an exciting and challenging artistic environment. The course is focused on helping build the skills needed to become a versatile, creative, and articulate dance professional. To this end, video is something that both the course and the university are actively using as a way of attracting new students and showcasing what the courses have to offer.

The Course Director approached Salad looking for a motion ident that would introduce their new promotional video. They wanted something that was lively and energetic to set the scene for the footage, with the final outcome being something they could add in to the video themselves. We set about storyboarding the concept first, allowing the client to visualise the idea before the animation process began. The final ident was completed and handed over to the client for them to edit into their videos. The finished cut and full video can be seen here.
